Carlye Fallon is the founder and principal of Carlye Fallon Communications LLC, a strategic communications consultancy specializing in counsel and services that advance and protect corporate reputation, drive brand awareness, and influence and engage priority stakeholders.

A trusted advisor to the C-Suite and versatile communications strategist, Carlye leverages 20 years of experience spanning progressive leadership roles at global public relations and communications marketing agencies, in-house positions, and as a broadcast journalist. With a scalable, results-oriented approach, she develops communications programs that support clients' business objectives, protect their license to operate and drive return on investment.

 

A sought-after messaging expert and media strategist, Carlye helps clients articulate an authentic, differentiating narrative and craft relevant, compelling stories and thought leadership platforms to more effectively connect with and engage key audiences. Her client portfolio includes food, retail, manufacturing, education, technology and professional services. Carlye offers deep expertise in the food and retail sectors, creating communications campaigns for the country’s leading restaurant groups, grocers, retailers and food manufacturers on topics ranging from retail acquisitions, market expansion and public affairs to product recalls, supply chain issues and sustainability.

 

During her 12+ year tenure at Edelman, Carlye served as senior vice president in the Chicago corporate affairs practice and as the agency’s Midwest corporate food and retail sector lead. In this role, she served as senior counselor and directed reputation-enhancing and brand-building programs for global- and domestic-based companies spanning B2C and B2B sectors including Darden Restaurants (Olive Garden, LongHorn Steakhouse), Barilla Group, Roundy’s Supermarkets (Mariano’s), Butterball, The Scotts Miracle-Gro Company, The AZEK Company (TimberTech), True Value Company and USG Corporation. 

 

Prior to Edelman, Carlye worked as a media strategist at the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and at Ketchum, where she contributed to PR industry award-winning campaigns for clients in the technology, consumer and professional services sectors. She began her career as an on-air reporter at WTAM 1100 News Radio.

 

Carlye earned a Master of Arts in telecommunication from Michigan State University, a Bachelor of Arts in communications and a minor in Spanish from John Carroll University in Cleveland, Ohio, and studied at the Universidad de San Luis in Madrid and the Institut National des Télécommunications in Paris. She has served on the Executive Committee and the Board of Directors of The Publicity Club of Chicago.

 

A Chicagoland native, Carlye resides with her husband and their teenage son on the suburban North Shore, where she is an active member of the Glenbrook South Parents Association and Booster Club, Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish Women’s Club, and organizations supporting women and children in need.
